Back Foot Revolution – Two Amateur Skateboarders Depart to Travel the United States to Teach Kids Unknown Skateboarding Tricks and Philosophy OAK PARK, Calif., July 31, 2007 - Two amateur skateboarders depart to travel the United States to teach the nation’s youth widely unknown skateboarding tricks and convey a positive view on life. Seven year ago, Mark Guerrero and Matt Toyama discovered a set of skateboarding tricks that are still widely unknown by skateboarders around the world. “Our goal ever since we discovered these tricks was not to make any claim or right of invention, but to teach kids this possibility, a possibility they have never seen before,” says Mark Guerrero, the founder of Back Foot Revolution. The tricks are unique in skateboarding. “In the performance of most skateboarding tricks the rider uses their front foot to flip and/or rotate their skateboard,” says Matt Toyama, a rider for Back Foot Revolution. “With these tricks, the rider uses their back foot. They’re just aren’t many tricks out there like it.” In the company’s recently released book titled, “Back Foot Revolution”, it captures the essence of their message – showing kids how to land a new set of tricks and the philosophy that has brought the message to them. “A person must first see a possibility either visually or mentally before they can capture it. We strive to show the possibility of these tricks and teach the method that allowed us to see it, so that kids can find and realize their own dreams in life,” says Mark Guerrero. The trip will take Mark and Matt all around the US to cities such as Amarillo, TX, Washington, DC, and St. Louis, MO.
